Rumor: Another Sony E-mount camcorder
Rumors out there say there's another Sony E-mount camcorder coming, priced below the FS7. Possibly released early 2015. That's all there is for now.

Re: camera for HD broadcast?
The best camera for broadcast. Hoo boy, that's a tough one.
Because there are so many different variables into what makes a camera "broadcast" capable.
To be safe, get a camera that has at least...

Re: New compact Canon 4K video camera?
I don't know if the C100 II and the X70 are in competition. Will a Canon "X70" take sales away from its own C100? Maybe, but they really are different cameras, especially price wise (if the price...

New compact Canon 4K video camera?
There's a rumor - and only a rumor - that Canon will soon release a small camera to compete with Sony's X70. It will have a 1" sensor, maybe even a Sony sensor. It might have the form factor of the...

Re: Sony Fs7 & Sony E PZ 18-105 f/4
How is the zoom speed on the 18-105? I tried the 18-200 on the FS7 and it was painfully slow, even set to 8 in the zoom menu.
News Shooter reviewed the FS7 and stated that the 18-105 can be used in...

Re: Panasonic TM900
I have one. I'll find the box and see what accessories I have, but it came with everything. I never used the remote, so I think it's still in the box.

Re: Sony FS7 first impressions
I've found the 18-200 power zoom is very slow zooming. I think it's just the lens, because it was slow when I tried the same lens on an EA50. Let's hope the 28-135 had a more powerful zoom motor.

Re: Impressions. x70 and ax-100
Yeah, there's suddenly more choices for a low budget 4K camera.
The JVCs should be available in February.
If you need a true broadcast codec, the X70 is tough to beat. I'm not sure if an MOV...

Re: Three new JVC 4K cameras
The B&H website says the HM200 comes with Timecode and Genlock ports. It sure doesn't look like there's enough room on the body for that, plus the SDI and HDMI ports.

Re: New Sony FS7 4K XDCAM at IBC 2014
This sound exactly like the 18-200 we used on the FS7 - very slow. I asked the guy I borrowed the lens from how it works on his EA50. He also felt it was slow, but since I didn't try the lens on his...

Re: New Sony FS7 4K XDCAM at IBC 2014
As a fellow PMW-300 owner, absolutely I do!
I've held both. The FS7 is far more comfortable on the shoulder. It balances way better and is lighter. You can buy power zooms for the FS7, perfect for...

Re: New Sony FS7 4K XDCAM at IBC 2014

Let me add, large sensor cameras are starting to take a lot of network business. The Canon C300 is a very popular camera. I'm guessing the new Sony FS7 will also become quite popular with the major...

Re: GY-HM850E as an ENG camera?
David, your camera choice really depends on who your client is.
As a freelancer, I occasionally work for the major TV news networks. They usually prefer the larger 2/3" cameras like the HPX500,...
