Re: 29min record limit on Cameras in the EU

Re: 29min record limit on Cameras in the EU

Wouldn't an external recorder eliminate the problem?

But of course I know you know that and you're really asking a different question, ie WHY these cameras have to have a silly restriction and...

Re: Canon EF 70-300mm 4-5.6L Lens

I'm still thinking of getting the 500mm Mamiya 645 lens - with 2X adapter I'd be able to go to 1000. And if I really went nuts I could stick a Canon 2X adapter on the C-100 as well - 2000mm no...

Re: Canon EF 70-300mm 4-5.6L Lens

I had a Canon 100 - 400 L. It worked very well on the C-100, but it was bulky and heavy so I sold it. I never like having to slide the lens in and out for zooming even when I used it on a 5D.

Re: Storm chasers

Hi Noa

Nowhere near as impressive or as well done as Mike's work, but this was taken from our house during one of the monsoons that we get almost every day this time of year in Tucson. If you saw...

Re: Hoodman Loupe viewfinder

I have a similar unit from Zacuto for my C-100 and they have a metal top strap that attaches to the camera and supports the viewer so there's no extra weight on the viewfinder hinge and it stays...

Re: cloud storage

In that case I'm not sure it matters that much which service you use.

Re: cloud storage

Not sure what your criteria for "best" is, but I use Dropbox to store all my still photos - since I scan up to 8 x 10 inch film the files are often close to 1 GB. I'd like to store my videos there...

Re: Resolve 12. Whats the catch?

Looks like the same distinction they've had for a while - the "lite" version which is pretty fully featured is free, the full version is fee. I got a dongle when I bought the BMCC and it has worked...

Re: Shutter Interval for Sports Shooting

Hi Jon

Thanks for the links

Wish I could help re your original question but the last time I had anything to do with high speed cameras we were filming the burn of individual propellant grains...

Re: GSM Tones - ruined reading?

+1 on using the "re-record" filter, I'm afraid. Since it was a reading instead of dialogue I think it should be doable.

Re: GSM Tones - ruined reading?

I had a shot at it too - not such a great result I'm afraid. Voice is sort of intelligible but the noise is not 100% gone. Reducing it any more really kills the voice

Re: Shutter Interval for Sports Shooting

Well if you want to handhold a shot of a speeding bullet with a 600mm lens you stand directly in front of the gun so you don't have to pan to follow the bullet, just hold steady.

Re: Anyone seen an adapter for Mamiya 645 Lenses to EF?

I had a few minutes so I did a quick shot with the 600mm (300mm lens + 2X converter) Mamiya on the C100 as shown in the photo above. The "flower" cluster is about the size of a small grapefruit -...

Re: Nle

Resolve V 12 is becoming more than a grading tool. Whether this is good or bad I can't say (yet) until I try it.

Re: Anyone seen an adapter for Mamiya 645 Lenses to EF?

I played with it again a few minutes this AM and put it on a BMPCC. I was surprised that it seemed to be about the same FOV as on the C100 - then I realized that the SpeedBooster was doing it's...

FotoDiox EOS - M43 Adapter

Just happened to notice the FotoDiox has an EOS - M43 adapter available with a built in variable ND filter. Might be just the thing for the BMPCC. I use Canon glass on mine so might give it a try

Re: Anyone seen an adapter for Mamiya 645 Lenses to EF?

OK - here's the C100 with the 600mm (300mm + 2X teleconverter) Mamiy 645 lens combination.

Looks a bit much but it gives about head and shoulders at 80 - 90 feet. When I'm shooting concerts from...

Re: Anyone seen an adapter for Mamiya 645 Lenses to EF?

Just got the adapter a few hours ago. It fits nicely on both the 645 lenses and the C100. Just turned the camera on for a few minutes and checked the image and focus/exposure. Nothing automatic, but...

Re: Anyone seen an adapter for Mamiya 645 Lenses to EF?

I've been Googling around as well - found some T/S Mirex adapters. Quite pricey but seem to be well made.

Re: Anyone seen an adapter for Mamiya 645 Lenses to EF?

I should get the adapter on Sunday (from Amazon)

I'm planning to shoot a comparison with the Mamiya prime lenses and my Canon zoom lenses. I still have my original Nikon F cameras and lenses from...
