I found a bunch of silicone bags (like the one you find in shoe boxes) I'll put it in a plastic bag with that, lens off and battery and CF card slots open.

Editing questions

With the 7d, if I shoot in 24p can I mix that footage with a 25p in a timeline in FCP?

Also, is there any recommended way of mixing HDV 1080i footage with the aforementioned 24p and 25p footage...

I'd consider renting for that budget

- canon 10-22mm
- 50 mm prime for people
- and may a longer zoom lens with fixed aperture

Ok, I am dumb, I've seen the DSLR rigs and understand the follow focus/matteboxes and handheld set-ups, but I still don't understand what rails do?

Some questions about my kit/quiver

Sorry for the stupid question, but I am getting my kit together now.

Right now I have the 7d, and so far have:
2 batteries
2 memory cards
-15-85 3.5-5f EF lens
- 70-200mm 2.8 with tele adapter...

Mixing 7D p footage with HDV 1080i in FCP

Are there any issues I should know about?

I convert my clips to Pro Res 422 as Philip Bloom shows how in his tutorial

I then drag it into FCP and get the sequence to match the clip settings....
