The font you are using in FCP may not support those characters. Try a standard font like Myriad or Arial and see if it still happens.

I would positive parallax was typically 2% and often more in the scenes Wim showed us. I was sitting way back in the theatre and it was only a 30 foot screen so my angle of divergence per eye was low...

Sony adds 3D movies to Playstation Store
I just noticed that Sony added a bunch of 3D movies to the Playstation Store this week.
This is a good sign for distribution of content. The big box stores tend not to stock too many BD3D titles....
