Re: Third Wedding

Well my only lighting issues were at the reception where there are no windows and they purposely keep it dark. I was at ISO 1250 the entire time.

Re: Shooting video and stills

Because it's a misunderstanding. By saying I haven't found one means that I haven't CHOSEN one. I have options, but like I said, I have yet to decide whether I'm shooting the photos myself or hiring...

Re: Shooting video and stills

I didn't promise something I can't deliver. I know I can pull through and do this, but as I said, I want to devote most of my time to shooting video because that's what I pride myself in.

I have...

Shooting video and stills

I was asked over the summer to shoot video and photos for a September 2nd wedding. I told the couple that I would rather not do that because the quality of my video would decrease if I had to focus...

Re: Vimeo - Is this normal?

Vimeo is awesome, but their uploader sucks. You're using the new ajax uploader. Try using the flash uploader and you won't have to deal with that anymore.

This is the second wedding I have shot. I'm trying my best to improve as much as possible, so any constructive criticism is welcome.

My Second Wedding

This is just the second wedding I've shot and I have so much yet to learn. Constructive criticism is welcome. There are some shots I'm not pleased with in this, and I wish I were better at color...

Re: Quick Color Question Regarding Curves/Compression

Thanks a lot Craig!

Also, I have a 4gb file, I need it to be under 500mb for Vimeo. I tried compressing it using Mpeg-Streamclip, but it ended up still being 1gb. How can I reduce the size to...

Quick Color Question Regarding Curves

I just edited a wedding highlights montage and I want to grade it in Color so I can learn the program a little better. I sent my sequence to Color, and I messed with "curves" in the video fx section....

Re: What SD Card do you Trust for Weddings?

I think that may be true, Chris.

Well, I've decided to spend the extra money and buy a 32gb Class 10 Sandisk. Better safe then sorry!

I apologize for the pointless thread. Let's just turn it...

Re: What SD Card do you Trust for Weddings?

Thanks Kelly,

Do you run a continuous shot of the ceremony with the 32 gigs? I'm debating whether or not 32gb is an efficient amount of space to cover the average ceremony.

Re: What SD Card do you Trust for Weddings?

I use the 16 gigs also. I love the size, but since I am shooting alone I will need a large capacity card purely for the ceremony. (I won't have time to switch cards while I'm roaming with a monopod)

What SD Card do you Trust for Weddings?

I have a couple weddings coming up in April. I've always used Transcend cards, but even the class 10's are too slow sometimes. I've had random luck with these cards in my T2i and 60D. Sometimes they...

Re: Give me a Wedding Audio Rundown

Ah that's true. Which is unfortunate because auto gain control would pick up the brides voice quite nicely.

Re: Give me a Wedding Audio Rundown

Turns out if I don't leave the battery in the H1, it last a good while.

On a side not, I just got two Giant Squid lavs today and they sound great with my H1. I'm just wondering if leaving the H1...

Re: Give me a Wedding Audio Rundown

The H1 has a problem with draining the battery while the device is off. But I can put a battery in and almost instantly one of the three battery life bars will be down.

Re: Portable recorder for 100 bucks or less (for unexpected foley)

The H1 is great, but the battery life on it is terrible. It takes one AA battery, and in no time the H1 drains all the juice from it.
