CinemaStyle shoulder support

Okay everyone. I've just put together the shoulder support I had written about in my other threads. I had gotten offers from people who were interested in purchasing the system I had done.So I have made a prototype of one that I am or will eventually sell. Take a look at it and see if it sweetens your taste buds. The link is Here: http://www.homebuiltstabilizers.com/...cessories.html

Then click on the link that says CinemaStyle.

We really need more accessories developed by end users like yourself. Stuff that's really usable.

Charles King May 3rd, 2003 07:40 PM

That's exactly what the goal is. ;)

Bryan Beasleigh May 3rd, 2003 07:42 PM

So when can I order one :))

Charles King May 3rd, 2003 08:51 PM

I'm glad you're eager Bryan. Like I mentioned on the page; at least a month or two from now. I have to get some other specifications. Also, I want to get at least a minimum of 10 orders before doing the first batch. Remember, I'm doing this all by myself apart from one small amount of machining, that will be made by my machinist. I will also give´an exact pricing including t´he postage/handling charge for both the US and Europe. Stay tuned.

looks realy interesting

What is the shoulder mount made of? What is the weight? Another question I have is, if im holding onto the handles... How can i press record and stop, not to mention zooming. I'm a newbee to filming, so be gentle. It looks realy interesting though.

Charles King May 5th, 2003 02:42 PM

Hi Jason. The mount is made out of light steel weighing in at about 1kg. Well Jason, in order to operate the zoom, stop etc. while holding the rig you'll have to get a LANC and attach it to the handle. I'm in the process of making an adapter so that would be possible.

Keep an eye on it

Sounds awsome. Ill keep watch on your site. I do get irritated with having to take my footage into a tracker and stabalizing the video all the time. I have been tryign to find something i can use while walking around. Whats the price range going to be on this?

Charles King May 5th, 2003 05:22 PM

I will put it up on the site when I finalize everything but it'll be somewhere i the neighborhood of between 150-180 dollars. I'm still coming up with new ideas to be added.

I'll probably have an interest in this as well. Please keep us posted
on updates, prices and availability.

Thanks!!! Very much appreciated.

Charles King May 6th, 2003 09:38 AM

Glad to be of some use :)

Dylan Couper May 6th, 2003 09:56 AM

Don't forget to put some padding on the shoulder support!

Charles King May 6th, 2003 10:02 AM

The thought had crossed my mind.
