Pimp My Ride

There is a link to the movie at the end of the first paragraph.

Dylan Couper May 25th, 2004 07:39 AM

I'm surprised that this is the first indie spoof of a makeover show I've seen!
It's funny, but only if you watch the real versions.
Personally, I'm an Overhaulin' man myself.

Corey Sturmer May 25th, 2004 05:38 PM

Yeah, that's the first thing I ask people when I want to show them...Did you see the show? Because all the subtleties and nuances really don't mean anything unless you have.

Robert Knecht Schmidt May 25th, 2004 06:42 PM

My favorite feature is the Guinea Pig right in the dash.

Bernard Diaz May 25th, 2004 09:07 PM

I got to be honest with you. I thought it was funny and I don't know who you're trying to spoof.
If corny but in a funny kind of way.

Kyle Kauss May 26th, 2004 09:56 AM

Dude that was fawesome!! totally funny I was laughing my ass off. It ran a little long but other then that very entertaining (I've only seen the real show like twice but what i saw you guys spoofed it well.

Fernando Maldonado May 26th, 2004 03:52 PM

i loved the end where all the water spills and it slows down... awsome

Corey Sturmer May 26th, 2004 07:39 PM

Thanks guys, I think this is my first movie that DVinfo liked!

Kirill Bichutsky May 27th, 2004 01:23 PM

The URL on the site is down... I really want to see this video.

Corey Sturmer May 28th, 2004 12:51 PM

Video is back up.

James Emory May 28th, 2004 09:54 PM

Link Status?
The link still doesn't work as of this post. Maybe you need to get your server pimped. Ha, ha.

Corey Sturmer May 29th, 2004 08:19 AM

It should??? It works now anyhow.

James Emory May 29th, 2004 09:56 AM

Great Job!
That was really funny. I agree that you would definitely have to see the real show to get all of the mockery. How long did it take to shoot all of that and then how long to cut it together? Ashton must have cost you a fortune for his appearance.

Corey Sturmer May 30th, 2004 08:56 AM

That took a total of three days...But not 72 hours. It took less than 3 hours to shoot the opening section, including xzibit, myself and the driving scenes, but spread over the course of two days. The pimping took 5 hours to shoot, and then one day to edit. I'll pass that along to my friend ashton!

Rafal Krolik May 30th, 2004 10:39 AM

LOL, where can I order those custom wheels?
Very true to the actual show..loved the guinea pig.

James Emory May 30th, 2004 12:38 PM

Out takes
Let's see some outtakes!

Corey Sturmer May 30th, 2004 07:24 PM

Damn dude...You know, we had a HILARIOUS bloopers reel...But i accidentally deleted it. It is still on a tape somewhere, but I'm too busy for the next few days to digitize it again...One day though, I will.

Stephen Jackson May 31st, 2004 06:00 PM

That was hilarious, i watch the show and that was excellent.

Loved the guiena pig I need on of those

Corey Sturmer June 4th, 2004 03:37 PM

Thank you.

Actually, this might be a good place to ask this, but I've been trying to get in contact with the producer of the show/someone at MTV who could deliver it to said person...But I have thus far been unable to make any solid connections. Do you all have any good reccomendations, or otherwise could give me contact info to MTV? Thanks.

Dan Tolbertson June 11th, 2004 04:24 PM

Link seems to be down.

Corey Sturmer June 12th, 2004 10:18 AM

Link is down...Sorry, I forgot to announce it...Turns out the movie was quite popular (500+ downloads) and it was eating up the bandwidth of a friend of a friend's webserver...Had to take it down. However, can you guys still maybe help me with possible contact info to someone at MTV? Thanks.
