Sixteen years ago, I found a beat-up old wheelchair at St. Vinnie's, for $15. I rebuilt it and added all sorts of attachments, to make it into a very useful dolly. It had pneumatic tires, so to get very smooth rolling action, even on rough pavement, I lowered the air pressure accordingly. I had room for a 60-amp, deep-cycle RV battery, on a low platform, that powered every unit I carried, as well as providing stabilizing ballast weight.

Yes I did, running backward, but the shot were not as steady as expected afterall. The XL1 is too heavy for this kind of work. But it worked well in the story anyway. |
