I have a few stop-mo apps for my Mac but currently use FrameThief more than anything else - I find each has as many drawbacks as advantages (FrameThief's biggest that you can only delete the last frame). There's no clear winner yet, in my opinion. Good luck with your garage project. -j |

The reasons vary: many still cameras don't have a live preview, only the higher end have manual (actual hands-on manual) focus and/or zoom control, substantial light flicker (I don't exactly understand why but it's true) and the shutters can wear out.
Even so, the situation is improving. The Nikon D70 seems to be the running favourite with amateurs and semi-pros - I'm saving up for one. -j |
