How to sync two SI2K mini for stereoscopic 3D?

Do you have special software? What hardware need to capture dual stream 720p60 and 1080p24 ? Thanks.

SiliconDVR (the software that drives the cameras) supports simultaneous triggering across multiple cameras as well as syncing (genlock) across multiple cameras as well.

Each camera is hooked up to it's own computer, and the trigger simultaneously triggers all computers recording (it's a frame-accurate trigger meaning all the machines are synced to the trigger and will start on the same frame).

Finally you can grab a frame from one computer, and load it into the frame-store of another computer and do an anaglyph overlay to make sure that the cameras are aligned properly if you don't have a beam-splitter viewing system.

Stereo 2K-3D capability is one of the many new features which will be included with the delivery of the SI-2K's.

We have also developed a hardware module sync distributor and controller to simplify the wiring and use of the SI-2K's in Stereo 3D. A single power connection and two 8-pin Lemo cables run to the Minis placing them in frame sync. A switch (push button or foot-pedal) input is used to initiate recording with Frame-start accuracy.

Another version of the Sync Controller operates 9-cameras. Here is a preview of what is being done with it at Paradise FX....

Imagine this over Niagara Falls...then come back to see the results next week.
