Another SSD to treat with caution...

I have been using a OCZ SSD - Vertex series 60GB in the CRU dataport on the P&S recorder and am finding that after less than 5 record / reformat cycles that I'm getting lags, freezes and RAM buffer overflows once the drive is half full.

A-Ram Ultra II Series 20Gb SATA II SSD is also not seen by the P+S Technik recorder unit. I initialised it and formatted it in XP on a computer, then copied files including camera files onto it on the computer however this SSD is still not seen by my camera.

Re: Another SSD to treat with caution...

To be fair to OCZ, I thought I should mention that I have subsequently found that the problem with the OCZ SSDs was not the fault of the drives. It was due to using the maintenance tool without the most recent version of DVR 1.1 and then loading DVR 2.0 on the top of it. Once I had the most recent DVR (1.1.681) in place with a reload of DVR 2.0 then both OCZ SSD Vertex 60GBs are now working fine.
