Yes mate, the boys are a few days out of Sydney and the leader should be crossing the line sometime today or early morning. Looks like 15 boats have pulled out due to rough going.

Some snow but lots of wind and cold. Wind chill last night -15 F, over a week of 30-65kts of wind. Winter has arrived.

The 500 will have some good cold weather test.

Very hard to write these days since we are limited in word-count and often difficult to convey everything that needs to be said.

Paul definitely picked up something I believe strongly-- different tools for different tasks. The 2/3" video camera, and even the 2/3" CCD camera, is alive and well.

My only regret is that Sony remembered I had the camera and I had to take it back (or write a check)
