Alister, have you had a chance to throw a different lens on it yet and see if that helps? I swear mine (latest firmware) isn''t doing this or else I didn't replicate your scenario properly.

If you would like to create a user file and email it to me off list, I could load it and see what happens. I too would like to find out whether it's camera or lens or just the right combination that's causing this.

I've been using Alisters camera over the summer and so far the results have been the same with 3 lenses including a 2/3rd HD lens.
