Mark,

this really does help a lot. Thanks very much.
I´m vat registered as well, .... so I think also the price is amazing. Handheld work can be a really tough job and if it makes things a bit easier it´s already worth the money. I just viewed the video easyrig offers for download on their website. Really cool and really clever. Thanks for that. I´m just about to order it:-)

Hi Emanual

It's a great investment. It comes with a really nice padded bag as well which I wasn't expecting. The build quality is very high as well.

Let me know how you get on with it.

Regards, Sparky.

The easyrig is really good for handheld work, I tried one already. One of our broadcasters here in Portugal use the Easyrig in studio shows. However, it is not the same as a stabilizer system, it is smooth but not as a steadicam. If you have the chance try one before investing.

I know that it´s not a steadicam. But this is exactly what I am looking for for my handheld work. I will try one out (and almost certainly then take it with me:-) at Chrosziel in Munich who are the official resellers for easyrig.

It seems a bargain for what offers.

Be careful with heavy rigs. They're not convenient for all stabilizer work. To each his own: A heavy rig is a bad choice for a medium-weight camera, à mon avis. Mais, the opposite is not necessarily the same. As director, I like them so fast as possible.

I was about to buy the FSPro, I've read good reports about it. I decided later to invest on the Slideman, I'll probably receive my unit next week. It is true that a lighter system is better for light cameras, but if your system supports more weight you can work with any camera. Almost everything shot for TV here in Portugal is made with digibetas and 35mm for publicity, I could use the FSpro with my HD100... but my camera isn't the only one I use.
