Sound from the HVR-MRC1 on recording?

Anyone ever run across this?

I'm out of town on a shoot and I noticed I was getting an odd sound in my recordings. I was able to track it down to my wireless mic input (specifically the cable from the receiver to the Z7 as it even happens when the receiver isn't connected). When this cable is plugged into the camera I hear a consistent sound on the recording. When I turn the HVR-MRC1 off, the sound goes away.

It's only there during recordings, so I guess only when the device is running.

Anyone come across this? I'm hopeful it's just a bad/odd cable but I don't have another to test it where I am. Thought I'd post this just to see if anyone else has come across this.

I know it wasn't there a few days ago in my shoot, which was to CF only.

Fortunately the fix is easy in that I just turn the HVR-MRC1 off and don't use it. But that's no fun.

Here's an WAV file of it in case anyone wants to hear.

There could be a number of reasons why you get this hum. But it's certainly picked up by the cable, so I'd suggest you put a ferrite bead around it on both ends; Is the cable twisted, then untwist it. When twisted it can form a coil that picks-up any radio-interference. Or use a better shielded cable.
