i just ordered an hdr-hc1 off this website for a price of only 1050. there are a number of disclaimers on the site about prices being subject to change at time of credit card processing bla bla bla. anyway, in about a week ill repost and let everyone know if this is for real.

I keep telling people to ALWAYS check stores on resellerattings.com but people don't seem to do it. I cannot stress enough how important that is.

Hehe, watch the fine print. I saw a place (reputable even) that had a camera I was looking at for several hundered dollars cheaper. But when I looked at the MACK warrantee, it was 5 times as much as I expected, which brought the camera right back up in price.
