HC7 HDMI capture possible at full rez?

Could an HC7 owner give me an answer to if the HC7's HDMI port is protected or not? If you can capture at full-rez, then I'd say this camera has just been future proofed for me.

There is no HDCP on the output of the camera.

Good to know, this has just future-proofed my purchase.

IMO H7 does't record (capture) through the HDMI connection. In what sense do you mean its future-proof ? Besides no capture at all, you will not be able to playback (if this ever would exist) HDCP protected HDV video tapes.

I guess it means he will not buy it

I think he is not trying to capture into the cam using HDMI rather he is trying to capture live footage from the camera through the HDMI using card like Blackmagic Intensity to avoid the HDV compression.

Exactly, once I have a sufficient budget for that, that might be good for chroma keying/green screening that I plan to do in the future.
