Audio and FX1000

On the subject of audio I am very impressed by the limiter on Sony cameras. The FX1000 is very good again.

Whilst I like Panasonic pictures better than Sony I have found that on the Pana DVC30 the audio limiter was woefull and since buying a FX1000 I am over the moon knowing audio will be much under control.

A good limiter in a camera saves heaps in post for me. I film dance concerts and stage plays and the dynamic range is massive. No more "hot" spikes.

Re XLR I am going to need an audio balun box that is small and good quality. I plugged a mini jack connector from a mixing desk into the FX1000 and had "buzz" appear after it was fine earlier in the night

What brands are good? Beachtec seems popular.
