Slow motion

Hi all, I want to film some sports, but want to slow the footage down, some to 10%. What would be the best settings on my camera ? Everytime i tried it the footage gos jitty . Want it to be hd and edited in fcp 6.3.

you can't overcrank the camera so you're stuck with jittery. 10% is insanely slow. you can mess with shutter speed, but you will NEVER be able to get rid of the jittery look - there just isn't the data nor are there the frames...

nevermind , saw some amazing footage this week, it was really slowed up, think they were using the sony ex1

You could try a program called Twixtor. They have an FX Plugin for FCP and there is a demo available on there website.

Overview of there product.

I've seen this used in many projects with varying results. Most of the time the footage looks very smooth. Only time I've seen a problem was with a lower shutter on a green screen which gave some unforgiving results. Exposure problem not the software but slowing it down only made it worse. Give it a try, I'm personally trying the demo out as well. I have a shoot next week that involves the call for smooth slow-mo. If the demo gets me the results I'm looking for I will be purchasing it.
