HDR-FX7 External Recording
 
Does the HDR-FX7 be able to record to HVR DR-60 recording unit like HVR-V1U? I am thinking of buying HDR-FX7 and keeping in mind the future of tapes usage vs hard drive usage. I use Vegas 8 to edit.

With all the information on HDR-FX7 on this site I am narrowing down to HDR-FX7, HVR-A1U. Any suggestions are welcome.

Yes, but you'd need to start the unit manually and still probably have a tape in the cam.

Thanks for you quick response. Does this mean it will simultaneously record on tape as well as the hard drive? Or the tape is needed just to keep the flow. When you say start the unit manually that means I need to press the record button on the hard drive unit?
