Jeff, I anticipate a problem which you may be able to solve.
I have a Sennheiser 416 mounted on the Z1 and the front of the mic is 200mm in front of the Z1 Standard lens. The 'foam' windshield on the mic is not in shot.
Someone pointed out that if I should ever use a combo of Sony 0.8 Adapter and a 'Dead Cat' then the windshield will be in shot but that you may have some 'add-in' bracket to position the 416 a bit further back.

Keep in mind that our 72mm .8x zoom through still maintains the advantage over the Sony because it comes with a shade and you can put an 86mm filter on it. Also lighter and smaller than the Sony.

I had the problem with the Sony lens vibrating at first, but it just stopped happening after a while.
And it rarely comes off anyway these days.

I use a Rode mic adapter to raise my Sennheiser rifle and Rycote away from the wide angle adaptor.
