Can Timecode be sync between two of these cameras? If so how.. How about matching picture. Do they have cards? thx

Get the above DVD it will tell you how to sync between two of these cameras. The DVD is more than what you need to know. Z1 DON'T came with card, only V1.

YES, it can be done with the remote control that comes with the Z1.

You need to set the timecode to free run and have a workflow that deals with free-run TC.

It was a while back now, but there has been a post which refers to "jamming" timecode with this camera. Apparently a single remote control is used to set free run timecode of multiple cameras to zero at the same time. It is not true sync slaved to a common source. The Z1 does not do that but multiple cameras will apparently run true for most purposes by this method.

I've used the jam-sync with the remote on 3 Z1 cameras. They drifted to about 3-8 frames apart fairly quickly.

With the lack of true cabled time code sync on the Z1, I'd recommend just using a clapper or some other sound cue to line up the multi cam video in your NLE.

We synced 2 V1's and an EX1 for a shoot. After almost 6 hours, the 2 V1's were still in sync. The EX1 was about a second off from the 2 V1's. We did the sync manually with three different people starting each camera. The editor said syncing all of the clips from the various cameras was easy.

Must have been a camera defect. I filmed hours after hours with Z1s and FX1s (mixed) and never had a problem.

Better than a clapper, I found that a flash makes syncing even easier.
