8 or 14-bit HD DSP?
 
Does anyone know what is the bit rate when the signal is dropped onto tape? I would quess 8 bits with the beneifit of the 14 bit DSP, -a.

HDV is 8-bit.

the format is 8-bit, the DSP is working in 14-bit,

so I am lead to believe!
