Tapes
 
I was told that the drum head on the Z1 contours to the tape you use and that you should stay with the same tape. No particular kind, but just don't switch tape types.

anyone tried using sony DVCAM tapes - PDVM-40N - we have a heap of them and I'm not sure whether to use them or not
