Hey guys its Kyle. This is a new HighDef comedy/action film that Justin Johnson and I worked on. This time with PLOT! We shot in High Definition. This is the 1st episode. Just messing with the idea of a sequel. shot on Z1U

That was dumb as hell but was pretty funny towards the end the best line by far is "Take the ****ing shot, this makes no ****ing sense!" I actually laughed out loud on that one.

Random use of the fight club soundtrack in one part, that worked. Random Vince Vaughn be cool impression, was not expecting that from a "blind guy." Other songs were ok but the lotr song came on a bit to quick and strong, should have faded up a bit more slowly. Voices were ok for the most part but sometimes actors were way to far from the mic, use a boom.

However by far my biggest beef with your short was...TOO MUCH DIFFUSION! I don't know if you were using magic bullet plugins, it looked like you were, off the bat magic bullet always looks too diffused but that can be turned down/off so please NO MORE DIFFUSION UNLESS NECESSARY.

Obviously you could use better/real lighting in the room even if it's from worklights but I'm sure you know that. Acting could also be a bit better but whatever, it worked for the most part.

Overall I started out hating it and wanting to turn it off once I heard the moose is named after the character from Shrek because I didn't find that funny but once it moved it on it got kinda funny then became funny during the faceoff, then became confusing at the end. (why did he hit him with the butt of his gun instead of shoot? you think after that long he'd finally get the balls to pull the trigger) It was an ok short.

What mode did you shoot in? Sometimes the motion didn't look videoy occasionally, like on certain hand movements in the apartment it just looked werid.

The diffusion gave it a surreal look, I like it.
My only comment is about the panning of the sound, it would probably sound more professional without so much L/R panning. Usually in movies dialogue is in center, but maybe you wanted more stereo... sometimes less is more. Maybe that much panning would be cool for atmospheric and ambiance sounds but when the dialogue pans hard left or right, my eyes want to look at where the sound is coming from (the speaker) instead of focusing on the screen.
Other than that, Awesome job! I can't wait to get into HD and present work as good as yours!
