Capturing and providing a file that is playable in Windows Media Player
I have looked at several sample clips from the Z1U and they all play in Windows Media Player. How are people capturing these into their computer if they do not have an editing sytem. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks, Dave Rende |
You need some software that will capture the tape, followed by software that will encode as WMV. I will have to see if Windows Movie Maker will capture hd. If so, that would work.

Windows Media Player won't play MPEG-TS files, but if you get VLC Media Player (free), you can play captured HDV MPEG-TS directly.

Oh, maybe I should mention that VLC can convert MPEG2 -TS to MPEG2-PS, which will play in Windows Media Player.

Windows media player 10 will play the m2t capture files. I second VLC Player it's free and works great!
