Matching a Z1 to an HVX200

Has anyone matched an z1 to an HVX200? I'm doing a shoot using both cameras and I would like them to match as best as possible.

I would be greatly interested in the settings!

Kind of!

I matched up my friends HVX200 with the FX1, and it was really tough. The Lecia lenses give a very different warmth and image over the Zeiss lenses on the FX1 and Z1U. I also noticed that the video noise was really bad compared to the FX1.

You might be able to do something in post. Just make sure your blacks are set close if possible with eachother, and you do not over saturate on colors. Try setting up the sharpness on a 20" or so TV. Better yet, do all of this on a TV.
The white balance is important as well!!

I remember, when I shot my film "Better Than Ever", we used my friends 2x Panasonic DVC30's (Lecia lens) with 1x Canon GL2 (Canon lens). It was a horror trying to match them up in production AND in post, but got through it. (You can see the film at my website). The Canon GL2's gamma blew badly compared to the DVC30. The colors were much more rich in definition and crisp in the DVC30 as well. That was when I sold my Canon GL2 and got an XL1S, hated that and got a DVC30. I would've stuck with the DVC30, but I wanted to go HDV. The DVC30 is an exceptional miniDV camera.

By the way

I am going to call my buddy with the HVX to match up to my FX1, to see if that might help you out at all. I will re-post when it has been done with settings and all.
