Tally Light
 

Anyone know how to turn the tally light off on the Z1? I can't seem to locate the command in the menu's.

Hello,

I guess you mean the record light?

Go into the main menu and select the bottom option (looks like four squares) - don't forget you must be in Camera mode not VCR!

Then, it's the seventh option down - called REC LAMP

I actually wanted the front tally light OFF (to avoid subject reaction) and the back tally light ON (so I could see the camera running at a glance) - so I had to turn them both on, and stick a small square of black masking tape over the front one!
