Soft stop of zoom at HVR-Z5E

We have just received few pieces of HVR-Z5E and we noticed at all camcorders that when we stop pushing ZOOM lever (the same is with handle zoom) the zoom does not stop imediatelly but it looks as it stops with a little delay (like soft stop). This is annoying because it is difficult to get the right shot very quickly. We have also some other camcorders (broadcast, profesional, prosumer), but we have never noticed something like this. Is there anything in the setup menu to change this? Does anybody noticed this?

I actually think this is a great thing and makes the zooms look much better to me. One of the things that really bothered me about my FX1s was the suddenness of starting and stopping zooming. The FX7/V1 have the smooth ramping in and out of zooms as well. There's no way to change it. Eventually you just get better at anticipating where it will finally stop.

If you need to zoom very quickly just to frame up the shot, use the ring.
