Wedding footage from Z7u
 

finally getting into March editing, this is the 1st time I used the Z7, I shot on full auto and I made them a short video so the people in the United Kingdom could see some before they get the DVD. The other camera (guest point of view) was my Sony FX1.

When the first tripod shot arrived (FX1?) at 2:55 I breathed a small sigh of relief Bruce. Don't get me wrong I like your camera tracking style, but it's time you invested in a stabiliser of some sort I'd say, as the wobbles sometimes get too much (your track behind the harpist, for instance).

Yes, auto exposure v evident as you track across rocks to bride. Any reason why you decided not to lock the exposure on the day?

But I liked your editing ideas. Just maybe it'd have been better with some sort of ambient audio mix with the music as the girls and suits introducing themselves is rather a sudden change.

I too invariably shoot as the stills girl was doing, from ground level looking up into the 'scrum-down' as the suits tower over me. Of course I'm shooting a (Z1) movie, and that'll always be a better souvenir of the day than any amount of stills.

amazing stuff you found there. any idea of what camera he used? I saw the flash break up from rolling shutter so right away im assuming the Z7. I also so light smear so im assuming a1.

and with the combination of the glidecam, he gets amazing shots. I cant see myself using a z7 with a glidecam though. that'd be heavy and i dont have money for a full suit, nor a z7 alone, but its something i should consider investing in.

I believe he uses Canon H1 & A1 and steadicam flyer.
