Sample clip of Smooth Slo-mo with Active Steady Feature
Check out this short clip of the Smooth Slo Motion. I had the Active Steady feature turned on. I was running in front of this couple holding the cam on a monopod. I used the 12 second clip, which is somewhat lower quality than if I had used thte 3 or 6 second option.

you just saved a tons of money on steadicam :)
talking seriously it is very good for running with monopod, I guess just walking normally would look even better. |
I am pretty impressed with the results. There are a few jiggle spots in there and if I worked around those, I think it would be pretty darn smooth. It was also kind of hard running and holding the cam around backwards...I have to think I could have done it better if I wasn't turned around.

Wow, looks pretty good to me! I just ordered the 2000, so am excited about using this feature as well.

Does anyone know if the smooth steady shot function in the NX5U operates the same as in the Z5U? Same duration options etc? Just curious, thanks!

There is no such function... smooth steady shot.
You are mixing two functions: Smooth Slow Record (both camera have that, same specifications) and Active Steadyshot (only NX5 has this function) |
