Microphone dancing in the holder
Is there an accessory to make a microphone that is smaller in diameter than the holder on top of the XLR inputs fit properly in it? I mean, other than using rounds of electrical tape until it does? I'm trying to look that up on B&H, but I don't even know what name it would have.
Thanks, Sebastian |

i know sony have a Rubber that goes round the microphone, or its just cheap doing the tape thing...
But the part is also from Rycote Part from B & H http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/706564-REG/Rycote_037319_CC_Hotshoe_Camera_Clamp_Adaptor.html i use this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/463089-REG/Rode_SM5_SM5_Shotgun_Microphone.html |
Re: Microphone dancing in the holder
I slipped on a couple of rubber O Rings I bought from my local hardware store to hold my Rode mic snug on my AX2000 as well as the NX5U....

I second the O-ring option, works great for my AT mic.

O rings at your local hardware, home improvement or plumbing supply store. The ones you want are either # 95 or # 96 (I'm getting senile and cannot specifically recall the guage). They are about 60 cents each. I've found that using four rings per mike barrel seems to work best with my NX5. (Also worked with the Canon XHA1).
