Low light and 4:2:2 vs AVCHD
My experiences with my NX5U in low light have been mixed and I am wondering if capturing the 4:2:2 output with one of the Atomos Ninja devices would help - or if manual adjustments would be a better solution.
When shooting events in a restaurant at night the lighting is not real bright. So, when I boost the signal with gain the results become grainy, and anything over 6 dB is problematic in post. I am willing to boost darker images in post if needed to avoid adding noise in production. If I shoot without the gain and capture in 4:2:2 will I get better results? I edit in PP CC for Internet videos and have been satisfied that I can adjust color without adding objectionable artifacts. Any experiences would be helpful. |
