PXW-Z200/HXR-NX800 Firmware for MBP M3
 

Question about Sony cam Firmware updates for Mac OS M3 computer:
Has anyone downloaded and successfully used the firmware update for the PXW-Z200/HXR-NX800?

Reason for asking is, with regard to the FDR-AX700, the Firmware requires a specific download ONLY for the Mac OS M1 or M2 computers that run macOS 11 (Big Sur) and OS 12 (Monterey).

Being that the AX700 and NX800 are from a different Sony marketing group, the Firmware is not necessarily compatible.
Also of concern, some of the Firmware install code cannot be undone (!); hence, the need to be very careful about what code changes are made.

Update: Received a very nice email from Sony this morning:

"The v2.01 firmware update does not show any restrictions with the apple M3 processor."

"If you do see any errors, please reply to this email with screenshots, and we will be happy to troubleshoot if needed"

Excellent! Very good news.
And good support.

Next step for me is to format the Tough "G" V90 card and do the V2.01 Update download.
