Firmware update to include Pal.

I spent quite a bit of time going through Sony's help line options yesterday. I was told by their service center that there was a firmware update available that would let you shoot in Pal on the FS100. I got a call back from tech support, and he told me that it wouldn't be available for a few weeks yet.
It would be great if whoever hears about it first would post here.
Thanks

I hope they get it done soon. I also bought the NX5 as a companion camera, and that can be upgraded to shoot pal as an option, but it's a $300 charge, and the camera has to go to Sony for 2 weeks.
By the way, I bought some of the parts you mentioned for your rig and am pretty happy.
Thanks

4 Attachment(s)
here are some pics (if I can figure out how to upload them.
It worked.

The handles are the Cavision ones you reccomended. The rods are from Trusmt, the company in China you reccomended. The shoulder pad is the portabrace you mentioned.
The gizmo I used to attach my anton bauer battery adapter plate (d tap) is from anton Bauer, and clamps on to the cheese plate (Ikan )that I have attached to the Ikan rail clamps.
The blue piece right behind the handles is the dv tech pod attachment . The spring loaded pod in the picture snaps into the blue pice, and the other end goes into the belt holster. There's no way in the world my neck would be able to handle this rig without the spring pod/ support.
I have the Zacuto evf on an adjustable arm I bought from Small HD. The Zacuto Z finder is mounted on the evf.
I'll post close ups tomorrow.
Notice the small circular reflector on the bottom rear of pic #3. It's a motorcylce liscense plate reflector/ bolt with a wing nut on the other side to tighten it. Now all I need is back-up lights and a horn!

A friend told me it looked some something out of the matrix...

Very nice! Looks a lot like mine ;-) I hope you like it. I know it's heavy. The DV Tech pod is a good idea. I tried something similar with a Tiffen SteadyStick but didn't liked it. it introduce too much of the walking movement to the shot. That's why I added 5 lbs of counterweight under the AB battery.
