Birger Canon to Sony Lens adapter?

Anyone hear any news about this? I called Birger today, and they said they'll be announcing it at the show, But there was no one there to give me any info, like-
1- Delivery date
2- Price
3- Is it a one or two piece unit?
4- Cost?
I'm about to buy the Metabones, but really wanted to find out about the Birger unit first.

You are one of the few that hasn't given up on them.

I saw their stuff last year at NAB and heard the same thing. Coming soon.

In my book soon isn't a year.

You're probably right. I just don't know whether or not to buy the metabones. I just got an email from them with an invoice...But I hate to spend $400 on an adapter with no af , which comes in handy at some events, especially when I can use my 17-55 2.8 on the fs100.
If the Birger does come out, and you also get af for $700, I'd choose that.
Decisions...

For my part, I never use AF on the FS100. I must say that the metabones and 17-55 are the perfect match to the fs100. This lens is so damn sharp and versatile! Just buy the metabones and start to use your lens. You will not regret it. and if Birger actually start to ship their adapter one day, just put your metabones on eBay. You will easilly get 350$ or more for it.

Re: Birger Canon to Sony Lens adapter?

Jean,
Thanks for the feed back. Af comes in handy sometimes at events when I use either of the kit lenses. But for anything else, I'd never use it. The reason I want an adapter is that I have a lot of money in Canon glass-
17-55 2.8
70-200 2.8
50 mm 1.4
Tokina 11-16 2.8
18-135 kit lens

So It's crazy for me to not have an adapter.
I gues Ill pull the trigger on the mbones.
