Mac AVCHD gamma Issues
Did anyone mac users read this... and have any input on it..
If so do you think this would "play nicely" with the G-Log Ultimate settings Or should only one of them be done... |
Re: Mac AVCHD gamma Issues
I use Sony Vegas Pro on PC and I have to apply this "fix" to all AVCHD footage. To my understanding it doesn't matter what your picture profile is.

Re: Mac AVCHD gamma Issues
A while ago, I hosted an FS100 workshop and this issue came up. I was truly horrified - it's such a little thing.
Blogged about it here: Dealing with 109% whites – the footage that goes to 11 Travelling Matt Since then, I've had a bit of feedback about how to do it better in Premiere, but I've mislaid that info at the moment. Alister Chapman has a better description of what's going on here, but basically 'anyone who uses the extra information in 109 (e.g. the FS100, and FS700 CineGamma 1/3/4) is therefore committed to managing how to do their 109% whites in post. If you lack the time or don't want to manage it, use CineGamma 2 on FS700 or the Knee function on the FS100' Nowt wrong with 5DtoRGB though - it's another way of doing it if you have the time. |
