FS100 wide angle lens

Hi all

Does anyone know of a good wide lens...approx 16 to 22mm that doesn't distort at all? I really need one for a specific shot with my FS100. Doesn't need to be E-Mount... Needs to be pretty fast... 2.8 or less.

If you can find one:
Canon FD 14mm f2.8 L lens

Be prepared to shell out more than $1k for it though. I've had my eye open for one for years.

It may be cheaper to get the new metabones speedbooster and a nice 24mm Canon FD lens.

Canon FD lenses don't work with the speed booster, only full frame EF lenses I think.

There's tons of good wide angle lenses. Tokina 11-16 is popular. I've got a Sigma 10-20
that is really nice and sharp. For ultra wide (and no fisheye if you can believe it) is a
Sigma 8-16. If you need fast, I think the 11-16 is the fastest at F2.8. You can get them
in canon mount with the Metabones adapter, Nikon mount with the Novoflex or Sony
A-mount with the ea-2 adapter.

You are right. EOS lenses on the metabones adapter.

Or maybe a samyang (also called rokinon and a few other names but all the same lens) There is a 14mm f2.8 and there is also 10mm f2.8 coming. Combine that with the speedbooster and you got a very wideangle and very fast lens without breaking the bank, considering you can use the speedbooster with other lenses as well.

Thanks for all the advice... some good suggestions there. Metabones adapter has to be on the shopping list.. :-)

Cheers

I have the Metabones smart adapter but more and more am using mostly my old Nikkor lenses. You can find nice 18mm and 20mm Nikkors on eBay.
That Rokinon (Samyang) 14mm looks pretty good and isn't very expensive. Only problem is you can't put an ND filter on, but if you're shooting mainly indoors, that isn't a big problem.
