Lowest ISO in 4K mode

It appears that the lowest ISO in the 4K recording mode is an ISO of 2000. Is there a way of lowering that?
Thanks

Re: Lowest ISO in 4K mode

That is as low as it goes.

Why are you wanting to lower the ISO? If you drop below the native ISO of the sensor you will be doing it at the determent of the dynamic range.

If you need to lower the brightness of the image that will have to be done by limiting the light striking the sensor.

Re: Lowest ISO in 4K mode

Currently the only option for recording in 4K is 4K Raw.

Raw means that the 'ISO' is largely something of personal preference and how you treat the footage in post (what sort of gamma curve you will apply). It's to do with how many stops of useable DR you consider the camera to have, and that depends very much on your tolerance for digital noise, and where you wish to place 'middle-grey' on that range (i.e. how much room you want over and under that).

Personally I rate it more around 640 or 800 ISO, as that gives a cleaner result (less noise in the mids and near shadows), once I have crushed the shadows a bit - although it does mean I have less over exposure headroom (and less DR). Although, if I know I'm desaturating or going black and white then I'll leave it at 2000 as the noise looks kind of nice in B&W (and the extended highlight range looks filmic).
