PDX10 and Mythbusters
Hello,
i just caugt a rerun on Discovery of a Mythbusters show(its a show that tries test common myths to see if they are plausable) Anyway, they were testing a Myth of a cars drive shaft popping out and then as the car moved forward the driveshaft hits a pot hole and causes the car to "pogo" up.. Yeah i know sounds kind of wild.. Anyway it looked like they were using a couple of PDX10's to shoot various angles with.. (they could have been the older PD100) but it was nice to see the camera actually being used in broadcast.. the footage held up pretty well when mixed with the Big 2/3 ccd camera they use for the shows regular shots.. Just thought i would give an FYI.. Its a fun show to watch.. Mike m. |

I continue to be impressed with the lovely pictures you can get from a PDX-10. It must, in my mind, be the excellent 16:9 and the oversampling from the over-pixel chips. Other than not-so-hot low light, I just love the little PDX-10. And once I've got my magic uprezzing working on video, not just the odd still frame, I think we'll all see what this magical beast of a camera is really capable of.

Not yet. It's still in development, but I do have a page about it on my website. It's a new scaling algorithm that's working very well....

You have to help us poor souls in PC land to G. We feel left out with all your cool FCP goodies.
