PD170, PDX10, and sound

Can anyone help give me a sense of what the PD170 is going to sound like, just by going by the spec? I've never used a pd150 and don't know enough about dv audio to make any sort of educated guess, but I shoot with a PDx10, would like to get a 170, and form a 2cam shoot unit. I've asked around here about how interchangeable the audios are between the 150 and the x10, and am told that they're fairly different (certainly for music). Thoughts are appreciated.
Cheers,
Shawn

Dumb question? Vague? Highly uninteresting?

No one really knows, other than it's supposed to be much better.

I doubt that it sounds much better, just a bit cleaner when everything is quiet.

The PDX has good sound. The 170 should be good too. It does not matter if it is better. I'm sure that you'll be picking sound from different locations and probably with different kind of mics. The location of a mike will most influence the sound you'll be getting. The next factor is the mic type. PDX or 170 is least important. So the interchangability should be excellent. And you can do adjustments in post.

Makes sense to me! Thanks, all.
