I don't expect to recieve an answer on this now since it was nearly two years that this thread was made. But I'll give it a desperate try :)

I just recently got my firewire port blown out on my PD150p as well.
I read that Phill Reams managed to fix it himself... Did anyone else manage to that too?
What did you guys do to fix it?
