Just reviewed this article by PC Magazine....

Scorecard: MiniDV Camcorders - VX2000 Rates 5 out of 5 as compared to: (7) other Cameras in it's class.

Considering the units tested, I probably would too.
 

Beware of PC oriented pubs evaluating camera gear...Some of those cams were single chippers so I would hope that the VX would win.

Really, as long as they are rating the 3 chippers tops they are on the beam. Still the dumbest thing they did was evaluate the cam's digital still capabilities...that's not what a 3 chipper is for!

There were other things they did wrong too. In my opinion it was a yawner of an article.
