DSR390 PK1 vs. PK2

I consider buying a DSR-390 and have to choose between the Fujinon 16x lens (PK2) or the Canon 19x lens (PK1). Can anyone explain me the difference (picture quality?) What would you choose ??

Typically the longer your lens, the smaller the effective aperature. That said, I've often wished I had a 19X vs my 16X lens, especially when shooting stage productions and events. The longer reach allows you to set your exposure for faces from the camera position instead of running down to the stage and asking the lighting manager to turn on the stage lights so you can white balance and set the aperature.

I'd go for the Canon.

If I had a spare 25K, I'd go for the super wide Canon or Fujinon with the 2X telextender.

Bjorn, just curious, what will you be using it for?

I shoot company videos and need a lens that can do extreme closeups, f.ex. details in a machine, displays etc. I think that both the Fujinon and the Canon can do that, so the question is if the extra 1000$ for the Canon is well worth the investment in my case. Canon is a quality brand, and if there were any difference in lens quality (sharpness) of the Canon, I'd choose that immediately.
