Autoshutter option in Manual Set Menu(VX-2100)

When Autoshutter feature is on, does it only apply to when you leave the camera in auto mode?(not set the shutter and aperature manually)
Or will it be on if you set your exposure manually?

Andre De Clercq August 15th, 2004 01:52 PM

The Autoshtr feature is only active in full auto.

<<<-- Originally posted by Andre De Clercq : The Autoshtr feature is only active in full auto. -->>>So if you turn it off while in auto mode, does it keep the shutter at 60?

Best to turn it off in the menu and leave it off. I cannot think when you'd want to use it, but it's really there as a long stop, for those who shoot on auto exposure and ignore both silent screams for the NDs to be inserted. If this happens and the camera's shooting at f11 the camera will then up the shutter speed to correct the exposure (but won't reduce it funnily enough).

tom.

Yes Ray when autoshtr is turned off you will stay at 1/60 and aperture will go up (beyond f11) if the incoming light gets too high. Diffraction effects reduce resolution in the latter case.
