pd150 zoom lens specs
Can someone with a pd150 tell me what the zoom lens specs are? For example, is it a 30mm to 80mm? The Sony website only says it's a 12x optical zoom.
Thanks. |
I have a PD150, but my formal education is in computer science and history (not film or video) so I'm not sure I can answer your question. However, on the side of the lens of the PD150 it reads:
f=6-72mm 1:1.6 I hope that's of some use, if not you got what you paid for. :P -Dan |
See my website, the VX2000 / PD150 Companion -- the page called "The Skinny" at http://www.dvinfo.net/sony/skinny.php
The 35mm equivalents for the PD150 lens are 43mm to 518mm. Hope this helps, |
The PD-150 manual lists the lens as:
12X f1.6 to f2.4 This means that the lens is 'faster' (has a larger aperature at the wide setting and gets 'slower' as you zoom in on something. It's about a one-stop loss if you are a camera buff. Or, the light through the lens decreases by a factor of 2 when you go from Wide angle to telephoto. 6 to 72 mm or the equvalent of 43.2 to 518.4 mm equivalent on a 35mm film camera So the lens is a bit long. Which is why many of us use wide angle adapters. |
I KNEW somebody would know. Thanks. :)
