Audio Hiss In VX2000 -When Did It End?
I've read were in the earlier versions of the VX2000 it's audio hissed, but not later on. What month in production did the hissing end and the non-hissing begin? If I buy the VX2000 how can I tell which one to buy? Is there a date on the camera when it was made and what "starting" month to look for the non-hissing model?
Thanks Bill |
It didn't end with the VX2000, 150 and 250. Sony did come out with a fix, but this only fixed it a little. The best solution for the VX2000 is the BBC fix. On the other hand, the hiss isn't that bad, more like ssssssss, than hissssss. Another option is going with a good mic, like the Senn ME66 and the Beachtek adaptor (DXA-4).

Thanks Frank for such a prompt response!
From what I hear the VX2000 is great in low light which makes it good for wedding videography, which I am interested in learning more about and possibly getting into. So I guess the audio is liveable and the adjustments that could be made seem to be minor. I am thinking of buying my first 3 chip camera and if I do I would like it to be a wise choice. Thanks Bill |
