What should be my exposure settings on my VX-1000 indoors/low light?

What would I set the gain/exposure for film look (conversion from 60i to 24p)? And in general what indoor settings? I don't have to worry about this with my DVX-100A. But I don't have a second 24p cam so... Any suggestions? With and without a camcorder light? I remember reading somewhere set it on 0db Open?

My two cents, relaying information I have heard from others:

I have VX2000, but the principles should be the same. For filmout, I have heard others on this forum indicate keep the shutter speed at 1/60, to allow proper film out. That means you will play with the exposure dial which will get you into open or + gain territory, depending on the exposure required.

I know 60i is filmout - But what are the usual (manual) gain settings

What do people usually put the gain or exposure on? And outside you let the exposure/gain go automatically? At least thats what works for me.
