I guess we all have our preferences. I would also guess that a full blown stedycam and the ability to use it properly would pretty much take care of any camera jitters we might have :) of course the cost factor would probably prevent us from having a camera to mount on the steadycam but there would be no shake in the work (hehe)

why not buy some free-weights and build your arm strength up a bit?

Why start now? I'm 56 years old and if I started anything healthy now, like exercising, it would probably kill me. No, I think I'll stay as I am, but thanks anyway :)
