I had a few dropouts with my PC110. Playback on the camera was perfect, playback on two different VCRs (one JVC and one Panasonic) resulted in dropouts our wobbly audio out. But they would play perfectly in my Sony gear. Made another tape on the PC110 (was not certain the other brands would playback DVCam) and it worked perfectly. Go figure.

I think it was tape related but might be related to possible non-Sony tape use in the other VCRs.

I've tried several different tapes.

In DVCAM, I used brand new Sony 40 tapes.

In Mini-DV, I used new Sony and recycled Sony and Panasonic tapes, all with the same results.

Ive had a few dropouts on my PC110 as well which im pretty sure related to a bad section of tape(SONY) . Ive run several full tape recordings thru the cam again with no problems.

I thought that was the problem with my camera at first, but when it repeated on every type of tape that I put in the camera - and every single DVCAM setting, whether on a Mini-DV tape or DVCAM tape, I knew it was something else.

I've had a Sony TRV 900 for 3 years and it's been flawless so I'm convinved it's got to be in the camera.
